Among the so-called “Hong Kong’s ‘Gang of Four’”, the youngest member, former Democratic Party Chairman Albert Ho Chun‑yan, has had a political trajectory strikingly similar to that of the party’s founding Chairman, Martin Lee Chu‑ming. Both men once served as members of the Legislative Council, both led the Democratic Party, and both came from legal backgrounds, leading many to see Ho as a kind of “Martin Lee 2.0.”
However, their fates have turned out to be vastly different — Martin Lee is still able to breathe the air of freedom, while Albert Ho remains in custody awaiting trial.
HKGPao and Silent Majority for HK have once again jointly produced the program “Hong Kong’s ‘Gang of Four’: Political Mutants”, in which host Vanessa Chow analyzes three foolish aspects of Albert Ho’s political path.
